Saturday

Okay, since it's almost 2am, I am going to make this a short one.

I tried for about two hours to find Monet's home and finally just gave up. It was number one on my list today.

Number two was to go to one of the weekend flea markets. I had much more success there. I found it without a problem and had a great afternoon mostly digging through bins of old photos. That area of Paris was not the most picturesque(Port Clignacourt), but it was almost like being back in the US with a KFC on one corner and a Mickey D's on the other and people trying to sell you knock off watches, purses and sunglasses on every corner. After making a few purchases (at the actual flea market), I worked my way back over to the prettier section of town.

I ended up eating dinner at a very old, very french restaurant, Le Petit Marcel. There was a great group of people there that I ended up spending the rest of the night with.

I found the night life. Jazz clubs, gay and lesbian bars, a very old Jewish sector, and the 'lovers bridge',
Le Pont des Arts, where lovers go and write their names on locks and lock them to the fence. Of course this all sounded so much better coming from the guy there with his sexy french accent :)
