I've Arrived!

What a day I have had so far! It took me about an hour to get out of the airport and onto the correct bus. Then I got to the Gare de Lyon depot and I think it took me two hours to find the lockers and get out of there!!! First stop was at a little cafe called Le Killy-Jen, for a glass of beer. They were very nice there and several of them spoke english and gave me much needed advise.

Then I walked for miles, probably smiling like a fool most of the time. I met a few nice people. Stopped for a cheese plate and glass of wine at second cafe, and then for coffee and creme brule at a third one. I'm pretty sure I ate more than I took pictures.

At the end of the day I lugged my huge suitcases onto the subway and made my way to the B&B that I am staying at this first week in Nanterre, and am now having a nice cup of tea with one off my host's, Fredrick (aka Fifi)

The photos here are of the train depot in Gare de Lyon, and a couple in a cute little alley there. (These are polaroids that I have shot with my iphone, so the quality is not great)
